Anyone know what the ancient cordless phone on the back of the sound system is for? I was wonderin' the whole time...

  • It's a cheap, wireless microphone. Whoever came up with the idea was very clever.

Although I just want to point out that while the phone works great when we're standing around and rested, I'm wondering if there's a way to improve the sound quality.

The phone often garbles the person's voice, and we (and the bystanders) can't always hear what the person is saying.

It's particularly hard to hear when the person is excited and is yelling into the phone. After riding for a couple hours, we're all pretty darn excited :)

Not sure which ride you may be referring to... but the cordless phone wireless mic has been improved for sound quality a few months ago. It didn't get used at this last one but it did get used at the May ride in its improved form. I know that it was hard to hear anything in its previoius state, like in the April ride. There's always more room for improvement of course.
