I understand why we didn't go up to the Bay Bridge this time. Its becasue too many people didn't think we could do it. Too bad since it was the 14th year aniversery. Somebody said afterwards "that is something that will happen like on the 20th aniversery"
Lets stop makeing up excuses and DO IT! We should try next time and make a statement that would surely be heard. Isn't the point of Mass to stop traffic? Why should we be limited to the streets? If ALL of us go, do you really think they can stop us?
Next time I plan on makeing more of an effort to get people to acomplish this feat. We took the transbay terminal, We can take the bridge.

But it does seem like the kind of big even that calls for a reason, like an anniversary, or a protest cause like anti-bike legislation or something. It's a big stunt that would likely get press. We should have something say once we climb that flagpole.

Fri, October 6, 2006 - 12:32 PMits truly amazing how one cop on a motorcycle can hold back 1000 bikers. its just that somebody has to go first, and people have to follow. nobody wants to take the risk with a few people hoping that the mass will follow and get knocked off their bikes by the cops (i've seen it happen) and then get arrrested. -

To the average critical mass rider the whole thing is just a for fun. I know quite a few people who ride it regularly and the Message is totally lost.They are just having a good time..
Riding the bay bridge is some thing that hs been talked about since the beginning of critical mass. It has never happened and it problably never will.
