04/27I have tomorrow off so I will be draging my parts to Pedal Revolution. My back wheel is going to have to be looked at by the bike doctor I think, there is a side to side movement that just can't be good.
The good news is I'm buying a new road bike as soon as my tax return comes!

And the weather, if it continues unabated, will be ideal for us!
Normally, I ride an old beater bike that is way easy to spot in a crowd, but tomorrow I'm riding a different bike ... I'll look like everyone else. I'll probably take along my turn-of-the-last-century carhorn (sounds more like a fog horn).
I'll let ya know what I'm wearing so we can spot each other. -

04/29I just covered my bike in NEON PINK tape!
You will have to be blind to not see me coming!
I'm also going to be in fancy dress, I have to go to a cocktail party just after! This is going to be fun! -

PINK TAPE! I LOVE IT! I know it's a generalization, but most bike thieves are male ... a pink bike sure is a great way to prevent a lot of guys from bothering to rip you off. -

I was going to paint it pink but the tape was too easy. Its just my beater bike.
I'm going to have my new road bike painted pink too.

05/03Okay ... WHO WENT?
It was a blast. Going to the Palace of Fine Arts was the best. I think it was my fave ride since the once in March, 2003. Incredible energy. Sunshine. Great riding. Angry car drivers. Lots of biking djs (at least 3 or 4 this ride, rather than the usual 1).

but I had to bail out at the top (above the marina) to get down to bayview for the CircleJerks show.

It was fun, got a free bell! Had to bail out early cause I had a party. Its was fun, but I'm not doing it again in a cocktail dress, that was a bit much!LOL!
I do think a formal dress up critical mass would be fun! -

05/03Shoot! I looked around for folks who were in fun costumes and dressed up ... but I didn't see ya, Wendee. I was hanging with some friends who were active during the Gonzalez campaign ... then some other wacky people. I didn't leave too early, but I rode home with Chris, the guy who helped start Mass.
And, I got more flyers re: the naked bike ride in the East Bay, in case folks want info. I'm seriously NOT doing that ride.
