I ran over a thumbtack and deflated one of my bike tires. I'd like to learn how to fix it rather than getting someone else to do it for me. Or I could probably follow instructions online if someone could point me in the right direction.
Thanks!

It's better for someone to show you how. And faster.
What neighborhood do you live in? I'm in the Mission and I'll help ya.

Yeah, I feel really bad ... I had contacted her to help her ... and then we had a family crisis. And the next thing I know, a week has passed.
Sorry 'bout that! -

This was in today's e-missive from the SF Bicycle Coalition ...
####2) FLAT-FIXERS NEEDED SATURDAY
Get your hands a little greasy for a good cause: The SFBC is co-sponsoring two
special, free workshops this Saturday afternoon at the SF Main Public Library to
encourage folks to try bike commuting. We need 3 or 4 more volunteers to help us
teach people how to fix their flats. The event, aptly named "How to Fix a Flat
in Under 10 Minutes", is this Saturday from 2-3:30pm at the library at 100
Larkin St. @ Grove. If you can help out, please contact Leah as soon as possible
at leah@sfbike.org. And, to learn some great tips on bike commuting in SF, check
out our other workshop earlier that day: How to Bike Anywhere in SF. This is a
great opportunity to encourage a friend to try biking in the city. See details
in calendar below.
